Dead Still

Photography is a relatively new form for capturing the images of loved ones in 1890’s Victorian Ireland and Brock Blennerhasset is a master of the art. The only difference from portrait photography as we know it is that he specialises in memorial portraits of the dead.
Joined in his business by an estranged niece and an over-enthusiastic gravedigger-turned-apprentice, his work is followed closely by Detective Frederick Regan (Aidan O’Hare, The Sisters Brothers), a policeman on the hunt for a killer with a taste for murder. Starring Michael Smiley (Luther), Kerr Logan (Strike) and Eileen O’Higgins (Mary Queen of Scots).
