The High Hopes Choir
This inspirational series follows the journey of Ireland’s first homeless choir from their early discordant rehearsals, through personal challenges and missing members to their first performance on national television and chart success.
Charismatic conductor David Brophy, aided by a number of key charities, reaches out to people affected by homelessness and the staff and volunteers who work with them to set up two choirs – in Dublin and Waterford – in this ambitious performance-based project.
The High Hopes Choir aims to help change the public’s perception of what it means to be homeless as well as raise awareness to support the services and facilities which play a vital part in ending the cycle of homelessness.
