Random Driving Test

The Random Driving Test is an entertainment format that puts everyday drivers back behind the wheel to answer one simple question: If you had to take your driving test again… would you pass?

Hosted by comedian PJ Gallagher and former senior driving tester Brian Harnett, the series sends participants out on real driving-test routes, challenging them to prove their skills and win up to €1000 by passing their test all over again.

Once the drive is complete, the real fun begins. Every fault recorded during the test is revealed and each mistake costs money. Less than nine faults mean they walk away with the cash prize; nine or more means an automatic fail and they walk away with nothing.

Blending genuine jeopardy with laugh out loud moments, The Random Driving Test delivers a warm, relatable and purpose driven format that taps into a universal truth: everyone thinks they’re a better driver than they are.
