LEGACY is a compelling four-part documentary series that explores 15 of Ireland’s most iconic National Historic Properties. Each episode is framed around a distinct theme; Centres of Power, Writers and Collectors, Memory and Commemoration and The Art of the Portrait—offering a fresh, thematic lens through which to discover the stories, personalities and cultural forces that shaped these remarkable sites.

The National Historic Properties portfolio, owned by the Irish State and managed by the Office of Public Works, comprises 32 publicly accessible castles, country houses, memorials and gardens.

LEGACY brings these diverse locations to life, weaving together their histories in a visually rich and narratively engaging series.
